Description:

We are an educational farm located in the tiny village of Venersborg, just east of Battle Ground, WA. We offer classes and overnight farmstays so you can immerse yourself in the rhythm of our peaceful organic farm. Have you ever heard the air shimmer with the sound of a cow lowing to her young calf? Wonderful sound.

Our biodynamic farm is Certified Naturally Grown, a grass roots alternative to USDA certification. We teach classes about compassionate care for bees, backyard chickens for urban folks, biodynamic compost-making, cooking and preserving food, a career course in horse bodywork and lots of other topics. Each fall we host an apple tasting at our local one-room schoolhouse with over 200 kinds of heirloom apples. Our farm is home to grass fed cows (simmenthal, jersey, swiss), chickens, seasonal heirloom turkeys and bees from wild swarms. We have orchards, grape arbors, a small greenhouse, and flower, berry, herb and vegetable gardens. On our website you can sign up for our newsletter that tells upcoming events on the farm, when new baby animals are born and anything else that's going on.

We also offer a lot of educational classes about honeybees, chickens, biodynamic compost, compost tea, and kitchen crafts. We also do agritourism and have people come and stay on the farm and learn what we do by participating.
