Private organizations
Tahoma Food System, a Tacoma-based charitable organization formed in 1997 with an aim of ensuring the viability of community food projects (gleaning, community gardens) and creating an awareness of the importance of supporting a local food system in south Puget Sound.

Church organizations
Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, a statewide association of 17 Christian denominations working with congregations, ecumenical and interfaith organizations, and people of faith to improve the quality of life for all Oregonians. Currently farm worker housing is one of the many public policy priorities for this organization. Publishes a monthly newsletter know as the Voice.

Portland's Bounty: a Guide to Eating Locally and Seasonally in the Greater Portland Area. Available from Oregon's Interfaith Network for Earth's Concerns, contact Jenny Holmes at 503/ 244-8318.

Earth Ministry, a Seattle- based religious organization born out of a recognition of the underlying spiritual and moral roots of the environmental crisis. Publishes the Earth Letter newsletter five times per year.
