Agriculture and Landscape Program, at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts. The huge web site describes a number of noteworthy advancements: Massachusetts leads the nation in direct-to-consumers farm sales, has pioneered CSA selling, and now has connected over 900 farms to supply produce directly to local schools, universities, and other public entities through it's Food School program.

Sustaining Pennsylvania Agriculture, in University Park, Pennsylvania. Another large east-coast web site packed with links to production (Ag Alternatives), business planning, and marketing strategies. Look at their links on mushroom production.

Organic Farming Systems, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, North Carolina. The program works with approximately 80 acres of certified organic land, and is considered one of the largest research/demonstration sites affiliated with a land-grant University in the country.
